I

Responsibility for all  International  Missionary Work lies with the Quorum of Seventy Evangelists.  An International Missionary Operating Committee within the Quorum of Seventy Evangelists operates missions in five Sectors of the world as follows:

Sectors

Africa Sector – Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Democratic Republic, Rwanda, Zambia

Asia Sector – India, Nepal, Philippines

Central America/Mexico Sector – Dominica, Guatemala, Mexico

Europe Sector – Italy

South America Sector – Colombia, Peru, Venezuela

 

In addition to the countries listed above, we are receiving inquiries from nations of people all over the world.  We sincerely and prayerfully consider each request and respond as the Lord directs. 

The current officers of the International Missionary Operating Committee are:

Africa                                   

The first missionary trip to Africa was in 1954 when The Church was established in Nigeria.  Subsequently, The Church was established in Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda .  There have also been contacts made in Tanzania and the Zambia.  There are currently over 80 locations of The Church in Africa.

 

Asia                                      

In 1981 the first missionary trip was made to India and The Church was   established there.  The Church was subsequently established in the Philippines and Nepal.  There have also been contacts made in Japan and China.  There are currently over 50 locations of The Church in Asia.

Central America/Mexico      

The Church was established in Mexico in 1959.  Since that time missions have been established in Guatemala and on the island of Dominica.  Contacts have also been made on the island of Guadaloupe.  There are currently 13 locations of The Church in this Sector.

Europe                                 

The Church was established in Italy in 1947.  Contacts have been made in Russia, England, Germany, Holland, Poland and Romania.  Currently, there are 3 locations of The Church in Europe.

South America                     

 The Church was established in Peru in 1995.  Subsequently, The Church was established in Colombia and Venezuela.  There are also contacts in Ecuador, Bolivia and Chile. Currently there are 3 locations of The Church in South America.
